What is happening beneath your home?

Humidity and condensation can create difficult conditions below a home. Elite looks at the crawlspace as a system, then recommends a scope around what is actually there.

01

Humidity or condensation

Moisture conditions beneath the home deserve a closer look.

02

Old or falling insulation

Loose, damaged material can be part of a larger crawlspace problem.

03

Exposed ground

Uncovered soil can contribute moisture to the space above it.

04

Open or vented space

Outside air can make crawlspace humidity harder to manage.

05

Mold or mildew concerns

When present, remediation and an inhibitor can be included in the agreed scope.

06

You want a real evaluation

You do not need to diagnose the crawlspace before calling Elite.

You do not need to diagnose it yourself. Tell us what you are seeing, and Elite can help determine the appropriate next step.

A flexible, complete approach

A customizable scope for your crawlspace.

Every component is optional. After evaluating the space, Elite works with the customer to select the components that fit the property and the requested scope.

01

Remove old ceiling insulation

If old insulation is present at the crawlspace ceiling, removal can be included in the customer-approved scope.

02

Address mold or mildew

If mold or mildew is present, remediation and an inhibitor treatment can be included.

03

Spray foam the walls

Foundation walls can be spray foamed when that component is selected for the project.

04

Install the ground liner

A 12-mil poly liner can be installed over the crawlspace ground as part of the agreed system.

05

Choose humidity control

A crawlspace dehumidifier is optional and can be added when the customer wants it or the project calls for it.

Ask a question
How much does crawlspace encapsulation cost?

Elite crawlspace encapsulation projects start at $2,000. The final estimate depends on the crawlspace size, condition, access and the system recommended after review.

What can an Elite crawlspace encapsulation include?

A full Elite encapsulation normally includes removing old insulation from the crawlspace ceiling when it is present, remediating mold or mildew and applying an inhibitor when present, spray foaming the foundation walls, and installing a 12-mil poly liner. A dehumidifier is optional. Elite can adjust any component to the customer’s requested scope.

Is a vapor barrier the same as complete encapsulation?

A 12-mil poly ground liner is one component of an encapsulation. A full scope can also include old-insulation removal, mold or mildew remediation and inhibitor, foundation-wall spray foam, and an optional dehumidifier. Elite confirms each component with the customer.

Can Elite remove old crawlspace insulation?

Yes. Elite can remove existing insulation from the crawlspace ceiling when it is present and included in the customer-approved scope.

Can Elite address mold or mildew in the crawlspace?

Yes. When mold or mildew is present, the agreed scope can include remediation and application of an inhibitor.

Is a dehumidifier required?
